Rationale

The Jawas are a scavenging race that find, fix then sell lost artifacts and machinery littered throughout the dessert. They build settlements in the mountains out of salvaged space crafts where they can tinker away out of danger from the tusken raiders. For my exterior scene I wanted to depicted a very large Jawa settlement built from huge ships once lost to the desert, now re-purposed as in strong living structure. The outposts in the mid and foreground mark a trail leading to the main township at the top of the canyon where the Jawa’s sell the recycled wares. For my Interior scene I depicted a small market township set up by a group of salvagers that have taken advantage of the customer traffic that purchase re-serviced tech from the Jawas. The market sells spare drone parts as a front for their gun trade.

The exterior scene is shot from lower levels of a canyon looking up past the outpost to the peak of the canyon where the main town resides. Rays of light from the Tatooine’s Two suns shine down past the structure, all this convey their monolithic scale. For my interior i used dim green lighting to show the griminess of the shady market, a bright light ray spilling in through the entrance aids the shifty mood through its contrast.

i like of having heaps of junk to sell everywhere even hanging from the roof. i could do the same only with drone parts in my market seedy scene

rock formations and desert lighting reference

cool light bounce lighting on the left, breaks up the cold shadow

this has great cold shadows and warm orange light

Some reference for my space craft structures in my exterior
