The B’omarr monks built the citadel known now as Jabba’s
Palace as a monastery, now live in the lower levels as the then uppers have
been occupied by outlawers.
Once the monks have reached the final stage of enlightenment
they no longer have any need for their physical body so they get the lesser
monks to help shed their body surgically. the enlightened brain is removed and
placed in a nutrient filled jar, to spend eternity in undistracted perpetual
thought.
The Brains are stored on in wall cases and can
telepathically tell robotic spider like legs to walk them around when they feel
the need for a stroll
Jawas travel through the dessert in search of salvageable crashed
spacecrafts from centuries of warfare. Jawa legend tell of a huge old republic
water tanker that sot-landed in the dessert but the crew all died from gas
poisoning from the ship. A find such as this would make the jaws who found it
crazy rich.
They set up portable smelters to break down valuables for
easy transport
Jawas live in thick walled fortresses made from
large chunks of wrecked spacecraft
